The Girl Scout Program is centered around the Girl Scout Leadership Experience -- which is Girl Scout's unique approach for girl leadership development based on research and an understanding of what today's girls seek in learning experiences. One of the core program elements of the GSLE are the "Journeys". But, earning and collecting a variety of badges, patches, and pins is also an important Girl Scout tradition that lives on because doing so encourages girls to learn and demonstrate important skills. Service projects and ceremonies are also a key aspect of Girl Scout Program.
GSUSA Program Resources
A great way to browse the available program resources by grade level is to use the keyword search feature in our online store. For instance, if you want to see the program resources for Girl Scout Juniors, enter "juniors" in the search field.
The "Troop Year Planning Guides" on the Program Planning Guides web page also contains summaries of program resources for each grade level.
And, each of our offices has a copy of the primary resources (journeys and badgebooks) that you are welcome to pop in and flip through.
GSUSA Online Resources
Another great way to review the program possibilities in Girl Scouting is to visit the Girl Scouts of the USA Program Opportunities page.

Community Activity Guides
These guides lists a wide variety of places in our local communities who have partnered with Girl Scouts to offer options for events or resources to support Girl Scout program activities. Organized by topic for each geographic region, you and your girls can find great places and people to work with to enhance the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. All resources listed include contact information and what grade level the activity is appropriate for.
We are still building the content for these guides....if you have information to add, please contact us at: programchat@girlscouts-ssc.org.
