How the Fundraising Project Works
Announcing Our New Partnership!
We are pleased to announce our partnership with Full Circle Exchange who offers Organic and Fair Trade coffee, tea, and chocolate products. By offering only Organic and Fair Trade products, Full Circle Exchange is intentionally supporting economic and environmental sustainability for farmers, their families, and their communities. Full Circle Exchange goes even further by applying its net profits to a variety of social justice causes throughout the world.
Through this partnership with Full Circle Exchange, Girl Scouts of Silver Sage Council will be empowering our local community to financially support our council goals, to exemplify responsible consumerism, and to support social justice through the sale of earth-supportive and ethically-traded products.
We are starting our fundraising adventure first with our adult champions – Girl Scout adult members and volunteers. We are reviewing the potential for creating an exciting girl program with awards and travel opportunities that merge our new Leadership Experience curriculum with local and global justice issues.
Please join us in making this a successful fundraising campaign for the Girl Scouts of Silver Sage Council. Take Action and make a difference by inviting your friends, family, and co-workers to purchase these high-quality, delicious products that support our local Girl Scouts and promote positive change in the world.

Full Circle Exchange is a socially conscious brand with a mission - to Promote Justice and Cultivate Good™ locally and globally through the distribution and sale of Fair Trade and Organic coffee, tea, and chocolate. By ethically sourcing, purchasing, roasting and selling only 100% Fair Trade, Organic coffee, tea and chocolate, we help build stronger farming communities, a more just economic system, support human rights and responsible stewardship of the earth.
Full Circle Exchange was founded by Mark and Jeanette Priddy of Eagle, Idaho. They started pursuing their vision for positive social change locally through the creation of Rembrandts Coffee House in Eagle.
Rembrandts Coffee House was launched in November of 2004 based on three core intentions:
- To create an environment of community, belonging, and hospitality so as to deepen the lives of everyone we meet and serve.
- To promote positive social change within our local community by supporting The Landing Community Center and other neighbourhood programs.
- To build long-term trade partnerships with small farmers that foster a more just economic system, support human rights, and support responsible stewardship of the earth.
They have recently expanded their humanitarian efforts with the creation of Full Circle Exchange. Full Circle Exchange is committed to reinvesting 100% of its net profits back into critical local and global initiatives throughout the world in such areas as Children at Risk, Human Rights, Economic Justice, and the Environment.
“We believe every person has the right to food, education, and health care and should be treated with dignity and respect." -- Mark and Jeanette Priddy

Mission Alignment
The Girl Scout Leadership Experience
From the very beginning, Girl Scouts has been about developing girls' leadership. Now we're doing it better than ever with national, outcomes-based program activities that give girls the specific knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values that will make them leaders in their own lives and in their communities.
The Girl Scout Leadership Experience features a new curriculum in which girls:
- Discover themselves and their values, becomming environmentally aware, and developing attitudes and self-understanding that promotes healthy living.
- Learn to Connect with, inspire, and team with others locally and globally, gaining a global and multicultural perspective.
- Gain Take Action skills to make the world a better place.
Partnering with Full Circle Exchange not only gives us an opportunity to generate funds to support more girls, it gives us an opportunity to make the world a better place -- exactly what Girl Scouts has always had at its core.
The Ambassador Journey Book, Your Voice Your World, says it best...
How often have you seen something that really needed to be changed and wondered, "Why isn't someone doing something about that?" Guess what? You can be that someone! All it takes is your voice joining with other voices and pretty soon you'll see just how powerful advocacy can really be. So go ahead, start the winds of change with your own little flutter.
How the Fundraising Program Works
During the first phase of this partnership, adults will be the champions of the cause while we take the time to create an incredible girl sales program around global justice.
30% of the purchase price of Full Circle Exchange products ordered on behalf of Girl Scouts will be returned to our council.
Just as with all unrestricted funds that the Council receives, this 30% is applied to three functional areas based on the revenue reporting on our 2008 IRS Form 990: 75% will be applied to program support expenses, 17% covers Management/General expenses to support those programs, and 8% covers fundraising expenses needed to pursue other fundraising opportunities.
