Girl Scouts of Silver SageTraining Program

Welcome to Girl Scouting 101-Orientation Training!

 

This course will cover all aspects of Girl Scouting, providing an introduction to Journeys, Girl's Guides, the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, and more. This course is required by new troop leaders and co-leaders. It is highly recommended for any volunteers. If you have your new Volunteer Essentials Handbook, please bring it with you.

 

To register for this training please RSVP to Adult Learning and mention the date/location of the session you are interested in attending. Each training class requires a minimum of 5 attendees, if the minimum is not met the session will be cancelled and you will receive notification.

Girl Scouting 101 – Orientation is also available in an online format for those who will be unable to attend an in-person class. Please remember that the in-person training is the recommended format.

Introduction to Journeys - Online or Workshop required by all Troop Leaders by the end of the first year

 

Planning Overnight Trips with Girls - Home-study required before taking an overnight trip

 

Outdoor Education Basics - Home-study required before taking a Troop Camping trip

 

Troop Camp Skills - Workshop/Opt-Out required before taking a Troop Camping trip

 

Winter Camping - Required before taking a winter camping trip to CAP
