The Women of Today and Tomorrow Award Luncheon benefits the Girl Scouts of Silver Sage Council. Now in its 19th year, the Women of Today and Tomorrow Luncheon is a community event that recognizes women of extraordinary vision, achievement and leadership. These women serve as outstanding role models to girls who participate in the Girl Scout leadership programs of the Silver Sage Council.
Funds generated by the Women of Today and Tomorrow Award Luncheon support the programs and operations of the Girl Scout leadership programs offered to girls in southern Idaho, Malheur County, Oregon, and parts of northern Nevada. Forty percent of the girls who participate in the Girl Scouts of Silver Sage programs receive some kind of financial support so that they may participate in Girl Scouting. Our programs include traditional scouting, Visions in-school programs, Girls Get Going, Soy Latina, Camperships, Girl Scout troops at Farmway Village and on the Duck Valley Reservation. Girl Scouts of Silver Sage Council provides programs for 5,000 girls and over 2,100 adult mentors.
