This is not a drop off event. A parent or designated caregiver (e.g., troop leader) must be present with your Girl Scout. Adults do not need to register separately.

EXPLORE Idaho's rich geologic history with the Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology. This experience will include a hike to the top of Eagle Rock, a tour of the museum, and discussion about Geoscience careers. Scouts will identify different types of rocks, discuss geologic processes, and study local geology and history.  Hat, water, and sturdy shoes are recommended. Please arrive 10 minutes early for check-in at the Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology, 2455 Old Penitentiary Road, Boise, ID 83703. Let's investigate what's in our backyard!

Sign up now! This program is limited to just 30 girls, and no extra spots will be added. The program fee will increase to $15 after September 1.

Each girl will receive a mineral, hand lens or loupe and the Silver Sage Geology patch. More information about this patch program can be found below.
