The Girl Scout Cookie Program is about more than helping your customers stock up on delicious treats. It's the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program in the world. You've got big goals, and no matter what obstacles may come your way, we know that you’ll face them with resiliency and creativity—it’s the Girl Scout way!
Oh! Did we mention, running your cookie business gives you skills essential for success today and in the future: Goal Setting, Decision Making, Money Management, People Skills, & Business Ethics.
Here you will find all of the materials you need to go from Cookie Rookie to Cookie Boss!
Every year the Cookie Program has a new mascot. This is an animal that is often endangered so that not only do girls have a cute mascot to rally around but get to learn about an awesome animal, what kinds of conservation efforts are being implemented for them, and how they can help in those efforts.
Giant Pandas, or Pandas, live in the mountain ranges of China and they are the rarest species of bear and one of the few that do not hibernate.
99% of a panda’s diet consists of different types of bamboo and they spend around 12 to 14 hours a day eating! That’s just about the entire time you are awake! An adult panda can weigh around 220 to 330 lbs. and grow to almost 5 ft. long!
Pandas have 6 digits on their front paws. One digit is an extended wrist bone that helps them climb and grab bamboo. They can also climb a tree backwards, like doing a handstand, to leave scent marks to communicate with other pandas.
During a survey in 2014, there were 1,864 Giant Pandas in the wild.
Due to recent conservation efforts the Giant Panda moved from an endangered species to a vulnerable species in 2016. Habitat loss and fragmentation, the habitat being broken up into sections, are the primary threats to the panda.
Cookies are sold for $6 per package. In addition to the skills learned and council activities and events, Troops and Service Units get a portion of the proceeds.
First, for girls to participate in the Cookie Program they need to have a current Girl Scout Membership. If you need to renew your membership you can do so here: MyGS Account.
Next, each troop needs to have a Troop Cookie Manager, also called a TCM, who is the primary cookie person for the whole troop. It’s a big job, but they can get help from other troop parents and volunteers! TCMs need to be a registered and background checked volunteer AND sign this contract 2025 Troop Cookie Manager Contract.
December 5, 2024: Cookies 101 for Families – This is a new event that invites all Girl Scouts and their families to meet us virtually and learn what the Cookie Program is, why it’s important, and what they can do to make sure that both girls and adults have a fun and positive experience.

Because these events are being planned by SUs the dates and times vary. Reach out to your Troop Leader or TCM to find out when your Cookie Rally is taking place!
