You can also add a girl or adult to your troop! At the bottom of the screen where it says “Invite friends to join Troop,” simply enter the email address of the girl or adult and click Submit Request!

Can I renew both girls and adult members in my troop with troop funds?
Yes! Girls and leaders can be renewed with troop funds. Additional volunteers can be renewed with troop funds after the troop has voted to do so.

Make Early Bird a Tradition in Your Troop

Renewing every year ensures that your girls’ amazing friendships and connections will last them a lifetime. (Plus, who doesn’t want matching Early Bird patches every year?)

Be Prepared. By renewing your girls’ membership now, your troop will be ready for another year. You don’t have to spend summer or the first few weeks of the school year chasing down registrations!
Communicate. Let parents / caregivers know about your troop’s plans for the upcoming year. Who will be troop leaders? What roles are needed? How can they help?
Celebrate! Invite families to an end-of-year bridging or awards ceremony. Renew everyone that night & share plans for next year.
Make New Friends. Expand your troop by adding a member in MyGS. Girls who invite a friend even get a patch!
Consider using troop funds to pay for all or just a portion of the troops’ membership fees. It’s easier for everyone, and an excellent use of the money earned together all year long!
Build your Troop Committee! Early Bird is the perfect time to encourage every adult in your troop to sign up to become a troop leader or troop assistant so they can help you throughout the year. Ask if anyone is interested in becoming a product sales manager the troop treasurer, the snack coordinator, or a driver. If so, they should register as a Troop Assistant!

Trouble Logging In?

Q: Why isn’t my username working?
A: Your username is typically your email address. If you have more than one email address, try each. You can also use the “Forgot Your Password?” link to send a reset email to your email address. If you’re still having trouble, contact our Customer Care team.

Q: Why aren’t I getting the password reset emails?
A: The password reset emails come from gsusacustomercare@girlscouts.org, so please make sure it’s added to your safe senders list. If you requested the reset email before marking our email address as safe, check your spam folder. If you’re still not receiving the email, contact the Customer Care team to verify that your username/email address is correct.

Q: How do I reset my password when I no longer have access to the email address associated with my account?
A: Our Customer Care team can easily change your username/email address without requiring you to recreate your account.

Q: Why can’t I see my family when I log in?
A: There are a couple reasons this could happen:

  • Another adult family member may be listed as the preferred contact on the account. That person must log in to renew. Contact Customer Care if you’d like to be listed as your household’s preferred contact.
  • You may have a second or duplicate account with a different email address. Try a different username. If that works, be sure to contact Customer Care to merge the two accounts into one.

Q: Why can’t I see my troop(s) when I log in?
A: There are several reasons this could happen:

  • Troops are listed on a separate tab from your family. If you have more than one troop, look for the pull-down menu to change between them.
  • Check your member profile to make sure you’re listed as a volunteer in the troop.
  • Not all troop volunteers can access the troop tab. Check with your council to see which volunteer roles they allow to access the tab.
  • If your background check has expired, you may lose access until it is up-to-date.

Our Customer Care team can provide additional support. Call (208) 377-2011 or email customercare@girlscouts-ssc.org

In addition to cash, check, or card; Girl Scout families have the following options for renewing their membership: Cookie Dough, Troop Funds, and Financial Aid.
