The process by which the Board of Directors, led by its Chair, elected by and with input from the elected Delegate Members of the Council, uses its authority to ensure organizational stability and fulfillment of the Girl Scout mission by providing leadership, strategic direction, policy making and fiduciary oversight for the council, a non-profit corporation organized under the laws of the state of Idaho.

Would you like to be an advocate for all Girl Scouts? If you answered "YES!" then here's a great opportunity.
Our current bylaws include selection by the Council Membership, of two (2) non-voting Senior or Ambassador Girl Scouts who serve a one (1) year Board of Directors term. These girls participate in all Board meetings and training sessions but do not have voting rights. They are also invited to serve on a Board Committee of their choice and serve on the Teen Advisory Committee as technical officers.
These girls bring a valued perspective to Board discussion and decisions. The time commitment required is approximately 3 hours per month.

SENIOR/AMBASSADOR GIRL BOARD MEMBER (One-Year Term) 2023-2024:
Cloie C.
has been a Girl Scout since first grade and is currently a senior
scout. Girl Scouts is essential and valuable in her life. Outside of
Girl Scouts, she enjoys painting, hiking, film, literature, and spending
quality time with family and friends. Cloie attends high school in
Boise, Idaho, in 10th grade. Girl Scouts is a significant part of her
identity, and she is eager to give her unique viewpoints. She has
received her bronze and silver awards and is working on her gold award.
Leading events and helping with activities is something Cloie has
enjoyed doing plenty of times. She hopes to bring light and a voice to
the older girls of this organization.
Lydia K.
has been a Girl Scout since kindergarten and currently a senior scout.
Outside of Girl Scouts Lydia is a competitive dancer and enjoys
traveling, hiking, swimming, skiing, and hanging out with friends and
family. Lydia attends high school in Boise, Idaho and is in 9th grade.
Girl Scouts has played such a huge role in her life, and she cannot wait
to share her voice on behalf of our council. She has completed her
bronze award and has enjoyed over 50 hours of volunteering, and planning
meetings for my troop and help organize council events. Lydia has
enjoyed helping her fellow Girl Scout’s and speaking up for those who
did not have the opportunity to speak to leaders in this organization.

Girl Scouts Silver Sage Council Teen Advisory Statement of Purpose:
The objective of the Teen Advisory Committee (TAC) shall be to represent the council girl membership interests in council programming and the recruitment and retention efforts.
