What does a typical day at Camp Echo look like?
8:30 – 9:00 – Drop-Off
9:00 – Opening Circle
9:30 – 11:45 Morning Unit Activities (2 – 3 activities/unit)
11:45 – Prepare for lunch
12:00 – Lunch and Free Play
12:45 – 2:30 – Afternoon Activities (2 – 3 activities/unit)
2:30 – Pack up
2:45 – Closing Circle
3:00- 3:15 – Pick-Up
3:00 – Aftercare activities begins (extra fee)
5:00 – Aftercare pick-up
What are the drop-off and pick-up times?
Drop-off for camp is between 8:30 and 9:00 am. Pick-up is between 3:00 and 3:15 pm.
What are the hours for aftercare?
Aftercare is between 3:00 and 5:00 pm daily. All campers must be picked up by 5:00 pm.
What do campers do in aftercare?
Campers enrolled in aftercare will participate in a wide range of camp activities including crafts, games, group imagination play, and outdoor activities. All campers enrolled in aftercare will receive an afternoon snack.
Can I send my camper with snacks and food?
Please send your camper with a lunch that does not need to be refrigerated or heating. Camp Echo will have a small selection of basic snacks available throughout the day. If your camper has specific preferences or dietary needs, we encourage you to send a snack from home. Please let a staff member know at drop-off so we can make sure your camper has access to it.
What if I need to pick-up my camper early or drop-off late?
If you need to pick-up your camper early or drop-off your camper late, please let the Camp Director or Programming Lead know at drop-off or by calling the camp phone.
Can I change who is picking up my camper?
If you need to change who is picking up your camper, please let the Camp Director or Programming Lead know at drop-off or by calling the camp phone. You can also add additional authorized pickups to your camper’s registration ahead of time.
How are campers divided into activity groups?
Campers are divided into activity groups based on their Girl Scout age level. They will participate in activities with the girls in their group as well as in larger, all-camp activities.
What should my camper bring to camp every day?
Every day, your camper should bring a backpack with a lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, bathing suit and towel. On the first day of camp, you will receive information on any additional items that you may need to send to camp that week (such as a white t-shirt for tie-dye).
Do campers earn Girl Scout badges at camp?
All campers will be receiving a special 2026 camp patch for their Girl Scout uniform. If campers complete full badges while at camp, they will also be sent home with their completed badges. Throughout the summer, we’ve prioritized each grade level earning badges during their time at camp.
