Would you like to get certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid?
Girl Scouts of Silver Sage offers this incredible class opportunity to any parent or volunteer working with children and adolescents. This course teaches adult participants the risk factors and warning signs of a variety of common mental health challenges. Participants learn to support a youth developing signs and symptoms of a mental illness or in an emotional crisis by applying a core five-step action plan.
Prerequisites: 1-hour Online Pre-work is required to be completed before the start of class. Details will be emailed after sign-up. Material cost is $40 (troop funds can be used) Attendance is required throughout the 8-hour class session to receive a 3-year Certification. (includes 2 X 15 min breaks & 1 X 30 min Bring Your Own lunch).
