How do I register for camp?
Visit the event calendar on our website to select your camp session. Select “Register Now” and you will be prompted to login to your MyGS account to complete the registration.
How do I get the “Early Squirrel” discount?
To receive the Early Squirrel discount, register for camp before March 1st, 2026. You only need to put down the $50 non-refundable deposit to secure the Early Squirrel pricing.
Is there financial assistance available for camp?
Yes! Girl Scouts of Silver Sage is committed to providing opportunities for all girls to experience camp. If your family or Girl Scout would benefit from financial assistance, please select “Financial Aid” as your payment type when registering for camp. A registration deposit of $50 is required from every camper to reserve your spot at camp. If you do not receive the camp scholarship amount requested, you can receive a full refund of payments, including the $50 deposit.
Camp Scholarship requests are reviewed mid-April, and all applicants will be notified of their application status by April 30th. Any requests received after the review period will be considered until funds are depleted.
I have registered my camper for camp, when should I expect to receive the family information packet?
Family information packets are sent by the end of April. This packet will include all camp paperwork, directions to camp, more information about our program and the emergency telephone number for camp. Family information packets are sent out via email so please check your MyGS account to ensure you have the correct email listed.
Do campers earn Girl Scout badges at camp?
All campers will be receiving a special 2026 camp patch for their Girl Scout uniform. If campers complete full badges while at camp, they will also be sent home with their completed badges. Not every session will be completing Girl Scout badge work.
My girl isn’t in a Girl Scout troop, can she still go to camp?
Yes! All girls are welcome to join any of our camp sessions. When you register for camp, you will also be prompted to complete your Girl Scout membership. Memberships cost $65 to $90 a year and allow girls to attend fun activities throughout the school year in addition to camp. Financial aid is available.
Some unique camps, like our INL STEM Scholars Day Camp, do not require a Girl Scout membership for participation. These camps are open to the public and welcome campers of all genders. This isn’t common and will always be clearly noted in the event registration.
What is CampDoc?
CampDoc is a web-based software program that GSSSC uses to collect health history information, including allergies, dietary restrictions, and medications, while maintaining HIPPA compliance. If you are new to CampDoc, you will receive an invitation to set up a profile for your camper. If you are a returning camper, you will need to update and verify that the health history is up to date. CampDoc profiles must be completed 2 weeks prior to the start of camp. This is required to be completed prior to attending the camp session(s). Our camp staff may reach out to families to learn how we can best accommodate your camper at camp.
My camper has special needs or accommodations, what is the best way to tell camp staff?
All campers are required to complete a Health History form in your CampDoc profile. If your camper has any special needs, dietary restrictions, health issues, learning differences or need for accommodation, please include that information in their CampDoc profile.
What if my camper has food allergies or dietary restrictions?
We strive to provide all campers with delicious and healthy foods regardless of dietary restrictions. When completing the mandatory CampDoc profile, please list all your camper’s dietary needs, allergies, and severity of allergies so we can prepare for her arrival. Please speak with your camper about advocating for her dietary needs when she is at camp.
At school, my camper receives one-on-one support from an aid. Can an aid or parent attend camp with my camper?
Yes! If your camper receives support from a one-on-one aid at school, we encourage a trusted adult to accompany your camper at camp. Please contact Customer Care at customercare@girlscouts-ssc.org prior to enrolling in camp. Our camp team will reach out to your family about your camper, their accommodations, and any other information we need prior to your camp session.
Can my camper have her cell phone, smart watch, tablet, gaming device, pager, or other electronic device at camp?
We do not allow any electronic devices including phones at camp. By disconnecting and leaving all electronics at home, girls can create friendships, build independence, connect with nature, and discover new skills. In case of an emergency at home, please call the camp phone and we will connect you with your camper.
