Powered by Micron and Idaho National Laboratory, our STEM Day Camps spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence through hands-on learning and real-world exploration. These camps blend fun, collaboration, and discovery as campers dive into science, technology, engineering, and math alongside peers and mentors. From problem-solving challenges to interactive experiments, each day encourages campers to imagine themselves as innovators and leaders, all in an engaging day-camp experience. Financial assistance is available upon request.

Where will my camper learn and grow at STEM Camp?
Our STEM Camps are designed to be accessible and equitable for families across the Treasure Valley. Rather than being based in a single location, camps will be hosted at community spaces throughout the area, allowing more girls to participate closer to home.
Each camp location will offer safe, welcoming indoor spaces for hands-on STEM learning, collaboration, and creativity, with access to age-appropriate resources and technology. Locations may include community centers, schools, or partner facilities.
Throughout the day, campers will engage in interactive STEM activities such as engineering challenges, coding, science experiments, and problem-solving projects. Camps will also feature guest speakers or special visitors from STEM fields—including professionals from Micron and Idaho National Laboratory—to help bring real-world connections and inspiration to each session.
What does a typical day at STEM Camp look like?
8:30am – 9:00am – Drop-Off
9:00am – Opening Circle/Announcements
9:15am – 11:45am Morning Unit Activities
11:45am – Prepare for lunch
12:00pm – Lunch
12:45pm – 2:30pm – Afternoon Activities
2:30pm – Pack up
2:45pm – Closing Circle
3:00pm- 3:15pm – Pick-Up

Who will be supervising my camper?
Safety is our top priority at Girl Scout STEM Camp. All STEM Camps follow Girl Scouts of Silver Sage safety standards and best practices to ensure a supportive and secure learning environment.
Our camps are led by a trained STEM Program Specialist, supported by a team of staff and volunteers who are interviewed, background checked through our HR department, and trained for their specific roles, responsibilities, and program areas. Many of our team members are current or former Girl Scouts who bring both youth development experience and a passion for STEM education.
Campers are grouped by Girl Scout age level and supported by adult mentors as they move through hands-on activities, collaborative challenges, and group learning experiences. Campers will participate in both small-group activities and larger group sessions throughout the day.
At each camp location, staff hold current First Aid and CPR certifications, and emergency procedures are in place to ensure prompt response and care.
Meet our STEM Program Specialist!
Hi! I’m Rachel Goldschmidt (Goldfish) and I’m so excited to be leading our STEM Camps this upcoming summer. I have spent the last 12 years attending and working at overnight and summer day camps in California, Arizona, Oregon, and Idaho! As well as being an involved member of the American Camp Association. I’m especially passionate about helping kids build confidence, curiosity, and friendships through hands-on activities, teamwork, and play. I can attest to how important sending your girl scout to a camp experience can be. Lastly, I aim to cultivate an experience where girls are able to try new things, feel safe to fail, and leave proud of their learning process. I can’t wait for an unforgettable summer!
